From Lisa Day's Local Review - January 2009
Fodder for the Foodie: You all know that I love good food, and will travel to find it! If
you have not been to Karma Winery yet, you are in for a surprise. The property and the wines are worthy of a visit. But, when
you incorporate terrific food with beautiful wines and a gorgeous setting, well need I say more? I had the good fortune of
experiencing brunch this fall at the Karma Kafe. I sat outside at a cozy table and was delighted when the server brought me
a glass of Champenoise (aka champagne) while I reviewed the menu. (If you are a wine club member, you also receive a
complimentary flight of wines). First, there was a huge, yummy cinnamon roll. Then a plate with sweet sausage, a cheese
mushroom omelet, and fresh fruit – beautifully prepared and presented. All of this was under $15. Additionally, there is a
private underground dining room, and special events planned throughout the winter. Check it out. It is worth the drive.
